The cam buckle actually holds tight without slipping, which was my worry with cheaper straps. Secured my dog's crate for a 6-hour drive and it didn't budge an inch.
Used these to lock my dog's crate down before a long highway drive and it didn't budge an inch the whole trip. The cambuck buckle bites down hard and stays put, which is exactly what I wanted for crash safety.
The thick cambuck webbing feels way more substantial than the cheap straps I've used before, and once I cinched it down the crate didn't budge an inch on the drive home. Exactly what you need if you're hauling a heavy kennel and want peace of mind.
