The red is even nicer in person, and it's become our everyday bowl at home, not just for trips. It doesn't slide around when my dog gets excited at dinner, which was the whole reason I switched.
Took this bowl on a weekend camping trip and it worked great — no tipping over on uneven ground. The red color makes it easy to spot in the grass, and cleanup was a quick rinse.
